After completing an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)  workshop and Seeking Shalom classes, we decided (after much prayer), to engage our neighbors through projects that address the fact that our neighborhood is in a food-desert.

We are actively working in the garden with some of our neighbors and a community organization (the C. Waldo Scott Center) and look forward to beginning the co-op!

Our belief is that like Jesus, we work with others, not just for others.  Since we all have value, we seek to tap into the gifts that are already present in the neighborhood!
