Community outreach can be challenging!

We know! We have decades of experience struggling to make real life connections with our neighbors.

  1. Sometimes we just don’t know where or how to begin.
  2. Sometimes we lack the interest and involvement of our church members.
  3. Sometimes we lack the resources, the time, or the momentum needed to sustain our efforts.

We are here to help!

We offer no cost, no obligation consulting and effective programs to help Christian churches and organizations with community outreach. That’s our mission!

Community Garden in Southeast Newport News, Pastor Karen Wilson

We want to help churches connect with their neighbors.

It begins with education. We offer two community development programs.

You will learn in our Seeking Shalom six-session course that our current approach has meant well but has been misguided. This course is for local church leaders and members.

Seeking Shalom is video-based group learning experience. It involves the discovery of biblical methods and the discussion of how to apply them in our unique circumstances. Together the local church and the larger church of the community will learn how to best adapt their ministry models to provide effective community services.

The Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) training and coaching provide numerous principles and practices for applying the biblical principles these churches have learned.

For example, there are 5 Key Pieces of the ABCD Puzzle and 5 Key Paradigm Shifts that churches will learn and apply.

We are committed to walk with you in the learning and applications of these ABCD principles and practices for as long as needed.

We would love to come alongside of you to encourage you as you embark on this great adventure to the glory of our Lord!

Let's Talk!

We offer free coaching to promote Christian community development!
I found my experiences with Asset Based Community Development to be life changing for me. What I learned has influenced how I express my love and support to everyone I encounter. The essence of the ABCD process is building trusting, caring relationships with a mutual commitment for working together to accomplish shared goals. The challenges are overcoming our vulnerability, fear, and isolation. The payoffs are living together with respect, love, and security.

"The experience of participating in the Seeking Shalom course has given us and our group a new shared vision, unique insights and a common language for working on collaborative projects! I highly recommend this course for teams and/or ministry partners."
